Sales Call Script

Jellyfish Lighting Call Script

1. Opening / Warm Introduction

Example:

Hi, this is [Your Name] with [Your Company]. How are you today?

I noticed you requested a quote for Jellyfish Lighting. I’d love to answer any questions you have about how the lights work and what they can do.

2. Initial Discovery

Questions to Ask:

  • Which sides of your home are you thinking about putting lights on?
  • While I’m pulling up your home for pricing, do you have any questions about the lights, features, or operation?

Tip: Highlight key features such as accent/security lighting, holiday calendar function, WiFi control, etc. before discussing price.

If the customer has no questions:
“No worries! Can I ask how you heard about us?” – this helps you gauge what they already know.

3. Pre-Qualification & Pricing Discussion

Example: Based on your home, here’s a preliminary idea of pricing.

  • Controller: $850
  • Installed per foot: $30 (average $25–$30/ft depending on complexity)

Factors that can affect pricing:

  • Total length over 300' may need a secondary power supply
  • Long jumps may require transmitters/receivers
  • Two-track systems increase cost per foot
  • Complex rooflines, heights, or curves may add difficulty
  • WiFi extender may be needed
  • Labor and operational costs may affect price

Follow-up: “Does that sound reasonable? If so, we can set up a time for a home estimate to finalize everything.”

4. Schedule Estimate

Example: The estimate usually takes 20–30 minutes. I’ll answer additional questions, get exact measurements, and confirm your color choices. Then we can schedule installation.

Payment Info: We collect half down to secure your install date, and the remainder upon completion.

Text Reminder Example:
“Hi [Customer Name], this is [Your Name] with [Your Company]. Just checking – are we still good to meet at [TIME] for your Jellyfish Lighting quote?”

5. Asking for the Decision / Closing

  • “We’re scheduling installations for the first week of [Month]. Would you like to reserve your spot?”
  • “Are you hoping to have Jellyfish installed this year? If so, it’s best to get on the schedule before [specific date] since we get very busy in [month/season].”

6. Key Tips

  • Always answer questions first, sell features before price.
  • Only give the final price over the phone or during the estimate after clarifying details.
  • Be friendly and conversational, using customer responses to guide the call.
